Is the Discover Seoul Pass Worth It? Pass Types & How to Decide
The Discover Seoul Pass is Seoul's official tourist pass, giving entry to partner attractions (the official site advertises 70+). It is aimed at foreign visitors.
Pass types (official listed prices)
| Pass | What you get | Price |
|---|---|---|
| Pick 3 Basic | Choose 3 attractions (no theme parks), valid 5 days | ₩49,000 |
| Pick 3 Theme Park | 1 theme park (Lotte World, Everland or Seoul Land) + 2 other attractions, valid 5 days | ₩70,000 |
| 72-hour | Unlimited partner attractions for 72 hours | ₩90,000 |
| 120-hour | Unlimited partner attractions for 120 hours | ₩130,000 |
Every pass type includes either a free 5-day eSIM (mobile pass) or a T-money transit card (physical pass), per the official site. Unused passes can be fully refunded within 30 days of purchase.
How to decide if it's worth it
- List the attractions you actually plan to visit and look up each one's regular admission.
- Add them up. If the total is clearly above the pass price, the pass saves money.
- For time-based passes, be realistic: most people manage 2–4 paid attractions a day. The hour count starts at first use.
- Planning a theme park? The Pick 3 Theme Park option is usually the one to compare first.
- Count the bundled eSIM/T-money too — if you'd buy data anyway, that's real value.
